The Korean Language Teacher Training Course offers students the opportunity to experience real educational settings through classroom observations at the Korean Language Institute and practical classes targeting Korean language learners.
This specialized internship program provided by Yonsei University's Korean Language Teacher Training Center aims to help Korean language teachers apply teaching methods learned in lectures to actual Korean language classes and receive feedback from experts, rather than approaching teaching methods solely as theory.
The Korean Language Teacher Training Course is a 5-week program, totaling 120 hours, and is conducted twice a year. It is composed of full-time professors from the Korean Language Institute, external subject professors, and experts in Korean language education.
Depending on the nature of the lectures, integrated and subdivided lectures are conducted, providing systematic training in Korean language teaching methods and education in Korean studies, aiming to enhance the quality of Korean language education and contribute to the education of overseas Koreans. Special lectures are also provided for the Korean Language Proficiency Test.
Evaluation is based on comprehensive exams (written exams on theory and practice lessons) and attendance.
