• The re-registration period for current students is announced separately in the Academic Information System.
• Changes between the morning and afternoon programs are possible only during the re-registration period.
• Students returning after taking one term off are also re-registering students. Log in to the Academic Information System and check the notices for the re-registration period.

• TOPIK scores are not used for level placement at the Korean Language Institute.

• Dormitory capacity is limited to about 10% of all students each term. Places are first-come, first-served and usually fill on the first day, so most students live off campus.
• You can apply for a dormitory only after your KLI student ID number has been issued.
• Your student ID is issued after admission, once tuition payment is complete. You can log in to the application page 24 hours after it is issued.
• If you submit documents or pay tuition just before the deadline, your student ID may be delayed and you may not be able to apply. Managing your schedule is your own responsibility.

Required documents for Korean nationals, holders of other visas, and one-term applicants.

Students who need a D-4 visa should check their country group first and then prepare their documents in the order below.

The additional documents you must submit and the minimum number of terms depend on your nationality. Find your country below.

You cannot choose the type of notarization. It is determined by the country that issued the document. Each document must be notarized in the country that issued it.

• Refunds are processed based on the date the refund request form is submitted.
• For refunds by overseas transfer, the transfer fee will be deducted.

• Students who apply for the Regular Program are placed in the level and class that suit them through a placement test (speaking and writing).
• Each class has a maximum of about 13 students.
• A class will not open if it has fewer than 11 students.

• You must attend at least 80% of total class hours to advance to the next level.

• In general, one 10-week term (200 hours) of the Regular Program is equivalent to 6 university credits.
• However, rules differ by institution, so please check with your home university in advance.

• Since the 2022 academic year, the university has enrolled international students in group insurance, so you do not need to submit insurance documents.

The Korean Language Institute systematically evaluates learners' Korean proficiency by linking its levels to international language standards.

From 2027, the number of nights differs by term according to the academic calendar, so dormitory fees differ by term.

You need a student ID to apply for a dormitory. It is issued only after all the steps below, so please submit your documents and register early.

• Dormitory capacity is limited to about 10% of all students each term. Places are first-come, first-served and usually fill on the first day, so most students live off campus.
• Dormitories can be used for up to 2 terms (6 months).
• Rooms are assigned first-come, first-served among students who apply by the deadline.

The Korean Language Institute recommends Episode Sinchon Campus, an off-campus residence, for applicants to the Regular Program and the University Korean Program.

The Advanced Korean Program is a small, select class built on in-depth study, exploring a wide range of topics such as current affairs, news and literature. Systematic classes strengthen advanced Korean expressions and the speaking skills needed in daily life and professional fields. Special lectures by experts in various fields and cultural activities offer a distinctive learning experience.
