The 3-week program is designed to provide not only short-term Korean language learning but also opportunities to experience Korean culture. Classes are held for 4 hours a day, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., five days a week. The program operates four times annually, totaling 60 hours over three weeks.
Cultural experiences in the 3-week program include activities such as Korean cooking and making traditional crafts, scheduled after classes (approximately 2 hours), conducted 3 to 4 times throughout the program. (※ Korean cultural experience contents are subject to change depending on the semester and circumstances.)

All students applying for the 3-week short-term program will be assigned to an appropriate class based on a placement test of their Korean language proficiency. Each class has about 13 students, and if there are fewer than 5 students, the class will not be opened. (Students who do not take the placement test will automatically be assigned to the beginner class.)
Students enrolled in the Korean Language Institute must attend at least 80% (48 hours) of the total class time. Grades are based on attendance, class participation, and final exam.
The 3-week program requires mandatory participation in both Korean language classes and cultural experience activities. (You cannot choose to attend only one of the Korean language classes or cultural experience activities.)
However, the attendance hours required for certification are calculated based on Korean language class hours, and cultural experience activities are not included in the calculation of attendance hours.
The acceptance of credits and the number of credits recognized may vary depending on the regulations of foreign universities, so we recommend you to contact your home institution in advance.
Students enrolled in the 3-week program will have the opportunity to experience 2~3 Korean culture activities including Korean cooking classes, K-pop dance, Taekwondo, traditional Korean crafts, and hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) experiences during the afternoons.
These cultural experiences will be held about 3 to 4 times over the course of the 3 weeks, typically for about 2 hours in the afternoon after the morning Korean language classes.
As these cultural activities are an integral part of the course, participation is mandatory.
The detailed schedule will be provided in a guide sent via email before the start of the course.
While attendance at the afternoon cultural activities is required for all students, it does not count toward the attendance hours needed for course completion.
Please note that the content of the cultural activities may change depending on the semester and schedule.
