As the first Korean language education institution in Korea, Yonsei University Korean Language Institute has led the development and transformation of Korean language education. Since 2001, through the organization of this academic conference and the regular publication of the journal Korean Language Education as a Foreign Language, the institute has worked to integrate academic research achievements with practical education in the field.
In 2023, an international academic conference was held where Korean language education experts from nine countries around the world gathered to discuss the changing environment and future prospects of Korean language education. As it has done for the past 65 years, Yonsei University Korean Language Institute will continue to strive to maintain its reputation as the "first" and the "best" Korean language education institution.
